Bye Bye Binky Update

It would appear that Nadya completely understands that she no longer gets a pacifier because she now has a big bed. I didn't expect it to be this easy so without being too pessimistic, I'm wondering in the back of my mind if the battle will come in a week or so when the newness of the bed has worn off. Hopefully not and it really will just be easy!

Some friends watched the kids for us yesterday while we moved around furniture. When we came home we showed Nadya her new bed to which she immediately said without any prompting, "I like that." She then sat on it and said again, "I like that," then asked to get under the covers. Last night she asked for her binky once and had a few tears, but then fell asleep shortly afterwards.

Today she continues to be excited about the bed telling us that she likes the colors and that its big. It took her awhile to fall asleep tonight...as it always does...but not once did she ask for her binky. Wow!
