here we go
will i keep up with this? time will tell. but i've thought about it enough that i may as well give it a shot. recently i heard the saying, "the days are long but the years are short" in regards to raising young children. all i know right now is the days are long...but i trust that the numerous people who tell me these years will go by in a flash must be speaking the truth. and i certainly don't want to take these precious years with my babies for granted. perhaps keeping a journal of little moments in our days will help me press pause and soak it in before the next thing quickly moves me on. and it just so happens that many people who love our babies are not near to share in the little moments with us. so if that's you and you want to follow along then you're invited to!

Girl, I know all about that! It seems like only yesterday Jessica was swinging in the back yard singing at the top of her lungs and Justin was beating the pots and pans in the kitchen. Now they are both out of the house and my baby is turning 11. Where do the years go?
ReplyDeleteTo quote "The Wonder Years"...growing up happens in a heartbeat. One day you're in diapers, the next you're gone, but the memories of childhood stay with you for the long haul.
ReplyDeleteSo soak in the memories honey, for before you know it your children will have babies of their own!!
I'm so glad to see you have a blog! I absolutely love the new family picture :D Miss you guys!
ReplyDeleteMy mom told me that when we were babies she used to get so annnoyed with all the baby stuff that took up space in her house..and she would remind herself regulary not to wish away that special time with us! I think everyone goes through it...I look forward to hearing about & reading your journey...xx, Mindy
