A few brief updates

A few updates from the week:

Eli:
1. Checked out well at the Dr. on Monday and is now 22lbs. My arms are pretty strong because he wants to be held a lot and I can do it fairly easily!
2. Tried pureed pears for the first time and although he continually seemed surprised by the taste, he kept eating it so he must have decided he liked it. This weekend we'll add carrots to his list of foods.

Nadya:
1. Also checked out well at the Dr. and brought home a sticker and the word diarrhea. It has become a favorite word for her to repeat and suddenly all the stuffed animals have messy diapers.
2. Enjoyed playing at the Drop In Center Preschool we just discovered near our house. When I went to pick her up today she told me to go away and ran off to play. I chose to not be offended but be glad that she was having such a good time!

  1. What a big boy Eli is! Mama milk is gold. :-)
Diarrhea- Bwahahahahahaha. PreK'ers pick up the most incredible things, both hilarious and embarrassing.

  2. Wow - I bet you can't wait for summer to show off those amazing arms! Move over Michelle Obama! ;-) I love babies faces when they try new foods - so cute & authentic! Drop-in Preschool??? Never heard of such a thing. Glad she loved playing w/ her new friends! She's such a social little girl! xx, Mindy

  3. Mindy--your Michelle Obama comment is pretty funny! The sign says Drop in Center Preschool, but its more of a play group than a preschool. Its 3 mornings a week for toddlers but you just go when you want to and you can either drop them off or stay with them. They have a few paid staff then they ask parents to volunteer each month. Some of the time is structured (songs, snacks, etc.) but a lot of unstructured play time. I'm so excited to have found it and its only about 1 mile from our house!
